Evans, GA – Clarice Fleming Littleton Gray, 86, entered into rest on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Burial will follow at Damascus Baptist Church cemetery.
Clarice was a resident of Columbia County for over 60 years. She was a music teacher for many years at Martinez Elementary School before retiring. During her career she enjoyed teaching music to children and composed the schools Alma Mater. Clarice played the piano at Evans Baptist Church before becoming a member of Warren Baptist Church. She enjoyed music and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Richard W. Littleton and wife Andrea of N. Augusta, SC, daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Murphy and husband Jett of Fleetwood, NC, brother, James Cluese Fleming of Evans, GA, sister, Vadie Honea of Hoover, AL, five grandchildren, Scott Smith of Kansas City, MO, Drew Smith of Brooklyn, NY, Amy Littleton of Columbia, SC, Lisa Littleton of Columbia, SC, Patrick Hughes of N. Augusta, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
Clarice was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack L. Littleton and M.T. “Buddy” Gray.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Robertson, Craig Holmes, Glenn Gentry, and her grandsons.
