Gilmanton-----Margaret E. Levasseur, 87, of Sawyer Lake, Gilmanton and formerly of Bridgeport, Conn., died at the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Laconia on Saturday, October 16, 2010. She was the widow of Edward A. Levasseur who died in 1985.
Mrs. Levasseur was born August 1, 1923 in England, the daughter of William and Grace (Bather) Woodward. She lived in Connecticut for many years where she had been employed at Bryant Electric for nineteen years, retiring in 1985. She had been a summer resident of Sawyer Lake for thirty years and after her retirement, she became a permanent resident.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Doris Emmons, of Brunswick, Maine; two step grandchildren; one step great granddaughter; a brother, William Woodward, of New Britain, Conn.; several nephews and nieces and good friends, John and Gloria Snider and their son, JJ, and Steve and Mary Schrempf, all of Gilmanton.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H., using the Whipple Avenue entrance.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 10:00AM at the family lot in Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton.
