Devoted father of Joseph Buscanera of Chelsea, James Buscanera and his wife Debra of Revere, Mark Buscanera and his wife Debie of Maine and John Buscanera of Revere. Former husband of Mary Buscanera-Moulton of Chelsea and Mary Buscanera of Revere. Brother of the late Mary Buscanera, Lillian Leggiardro and James Buscanera. Lovingly survived by 5 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Thursday, October 21st at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, Chelsea at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Born in New York 87 years ago, Iganzio passed away at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere Monday morning, where he had been a resident for only a few days. The family came to the Boston area and settled in the North End on Endicott Street. After his military service with the United States Army during World War II ended, he took up residency in Chelsea where he has since remained. Early in his working years, he worked as a presser in the garment district in Boston, Schrafts Candy in Charlestown and lastly as restaurant manager for Ogden Food Service at Logan International Airport, a position he held for over 20 years until his retirement.
