BILLY EUGENE HOPPER, 75, passed away on October 13, 2010.
He was a retired employee of Spec-Con in Salisbury, N.C., formerly worked for Litton in Florence, Ky. and Logan Company. Mr. Hopper attended Rowan Community College and U of L, was a volunteer for Jewish Southwest, a member of Shively Baptist Church, and an Air Force veteran. He sang in his church choir for 50 years and loved to fish.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Loretta Sue Goodman Hopper; his daughters, Annilee Perkins and Carole Milbauer (Brad); grandchildren, Jessica Williams Aker (Justin) of Florence, Ky., Adam Williams of Dayton, Ky., Bradley and Sarah Milbauer of Stockbridge, Ga.; great grandchildren, Ava, Haylee and Evan Aker and Brynden Williams; his brother, James E. Hopper; his uncle, Charles Hopper; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Saturday at Shively Baptist Church, 1599 Sadie Lane,with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1- 8 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Shively Baptist Church Choir, American Cancer Society, or V.A. Hospice.
