Obituary

SALEM - David B. Lang, 63, of Peabody, formerly of Salem, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Salem Hospital surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.

Born in Peabody and raised in Salem, he was the son of Eugene D. and Patricia (McNeill) Lang of Seabrook, NH.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years as a field service engineer both in the US and abroad, specializing in industrial furnaces.

A resident of Salem for over 40 years, Dave was a graduate of Salem High School in the Class of 1965 and was a die hard Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Besides his parents, he is survived by Phyllis Maye of Peabody with whom he shared many wonderful years of laughter and love, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tamie and Jay Mitchell of Manchester, NH, Trish Iaconeta of Gorham, ME, Marion and Evan McKinney of Salem; four grandchildren, Hannah and Hailey Mitchell and Natalie and Dominic Iaconeta; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jeanne Hue of Winchendon, Pamela and Tom Ricupero of Topsfield; three aunts, several cousins and his extended family. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Stephen Hue and a niece, Kate Hue.

WORTH, under the leadership of Dr. Wayne Trebbin, has set up dialysis centers in countries across the world and trained staff to care for patients in kidney failure who would otherwise not be able to receive treatment. Dr. Trebbin and the World Organization for Renal Therapies (WORTH) are currently in the process of establishing a dialysis center in Belize.
