Herman Edward Monroe, 63, Clarksville, died Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Veterans Hospital, Nashville, TN. A committal service will be held at a later date at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. No services are planned. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born June 18, 1948 in August, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Monroe and a daughter, Sandra Elaine Gorham. He was a US Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam Era and was member of the Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his mother, Thomasine Monroe, Clarksville; daughter, Sandy Gorhan, New York, NY; four brothers, Allen Monroe, Georgia; Decarlos Monroe, Clarksville; Vaughn Monroe, Clarksville; and Darcy Monroe, Long Island, NY; two sisters, Fracine Gutierrez, Conneticut, and Anna Monroe, Clarksville and four grandchildren.
