Obituary



Franklin-----William A. Cox, 81, formerly of 24 Damy Drive, died at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Mr. Cox was the widower of Gertrude (Chartier) Cox who died in 2005.
Mr. Cox was born January 18, 1929 in Malden, Mass., the son of Clifford and Ruth (Pedersen) Cox. He served in the U.S. Army and had worked as a baker at Stop & Shop for twenty-five years and thereafter for the State of New Hampshire Highway and Tolls.
Survivors include a daughter, Candis Daly, of Pompano Beach, Florida; a stepson, Clyde Carbee, of Newbury; two grandsons, Jason White of Lakeland, Florida and Adam White of Hudson, Florida; three step grandchildren, David, Stephanie and Nathan Carbee, all of New Hampshire; two great granddaughters, Savanah and Alexis White of Florida and three nephews, all of Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to his wife and his parents, Mr. Cox was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Marguerite (Carbee) Smith, a step granddaughter, Regina Carbee, and by his sister, Dorothy Hutchinson.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
A Graveside Service, with Military Honors, will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:30AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Rte. 3, Boscawen, N.H.
