Tracey L. Baptiste, 24, of New Bedford died Friday December 5, 2003 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late Brenda L. Baptiste and Paul Grace.
Tracey was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for all of her life. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Tracey was employed as a home health aide for various companies.
She was a parishoner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
She loved cats and enjoyed dancing, baby sitting, and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her funny and unique personality and will be greatly missed by all,
Survivors include her companion, John Telo of New Bedford; two brothers, Terrell Baptiste and Jermaine Caswell, both of New Bedford; two sisters, Tyrannie Baptiste of New Bedford and Roxi Duarte of Fall River; her grandmother, Mary "Mae" (Barrett) Baptiste of New Bedford; four nephews, L-Quan Arnum, Shawn Oliver, Quest Oliver and Dana Oliver; three aunts, Mary "Sister" Baptiste, Virginia "Gina" Baptiste, and Carla Baptiste; an uncle, Alan Grace; two godchildren, Endia Baptiste and Lee Charlton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was the granddaughter of the late Joseph Baptiste and niece of the late Joseph "Brother" Baptiste, Jr.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordThursday December 11, 2003 at 8 AM.Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday December 10, 2003 from 5-9 PM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
