Dennis A. Boyd, 58, of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday October 12, 2010 in his home. He was born in Lawrence, MA on April 11, 1952, a son of the late Joseph and Claire (Courcy) Boyd, and had been a resident of Londonderry for over 30 years, formerly living in Lawrence. Mr. Boyd was a US Army veteran serving during Vietnam, and was a member of the American Legion Post #27 in Londonderry. Over the years, he owned and operated his own construction company, was employed as a regional sales manager for Plywood Ranch, and spent many years in the healthcare field as a Plant Operations Manager. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Boyd enjoyed playing guitar, spending time with his family, home improvement, bowling, volleyball and playing cards. He also enjoyed boating and fishing, and had summered at Big Island Pond in Derry since he was a child.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Kapinos) Boyd of Londonderry; three daughters, Heather L. Davis of Seminole, FL, Stefanie R. Boyd of Cleveland, OH, and Kerri A. Boyd of Los Angeles, CA; one cousin, Cecile Hamel of Derry, NH; one aunt, Simone Roy of Goffstown, NH; as well as a close friend, Daniel MacInnis of Lawrence, MA.
Following cremation, a calling hour was held on Saturday, October 16th from 10 - 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A memorial service followed at 11:00am in the funeral home.
