Lorraine R. (Collins) Mitsock, a 53 year resident of Wakefield, died on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Hammersmith House Nursing Care Center in Saugus following an extended illness. She was 76 years old.
Lorraine was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 28, 1934 to the late Richard and Rose (Stupplebeen) Collins. She grew up in the western part of Massachusetts before moving to this area and graduating from Matignon High School in 1952. Lorraine has been a homemaker, enjoying reading and camping and traveling with her family.
Lorraine is the beloved wife of 55 years to Edward T. Mitsock who were married on October 22, 1955. She is the devoted mother of Michael Mitsock and his wife Lisa of Westford, Mark Mitsock and his wife Diane of Milford and Maureen Breslin and her husband John of Wakefield. She is the loving Gram to Michela, Sean, Thomas, Katelyn, Christina and Emily Mitsock. She is the beloved sister of Patricia Smith and her husband James of Danvers. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lorraine's Funeral Mass to celebrate her life on Monday, October 18, 2010, at 10 a.m. in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. There are no visiting hours.
