Leo P. Doyle, 40, of New Sweden, Maine formerly of Florida and Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 7, 2010 at home. He was the beloved fiance of Audra Ellis of New Sweden.
Born in Attleboro, MA on February 21, 1970 he was a loving son of Mary P. (Lydon) Doyle of Mansfield and Leo M. Doyle of Punta Gorda, Florida.
Leo grew up and was educated in Mansfield and was a 1987 graduate of Mansfield High School. A resident of New Sweden for the past 4 years he had formerly resided in Florida and was a longtime resident of Mansfield.
Since living in Maine, Leo was employed in the masonry construction field and was a former truck driver while residing in Florida. He had also been employed for Tighe Trucking in Mansfield.
While a resident of Mansfield he and his family were parishioners of St. Mary’s Church. He enjoyed the wonderful times spent with family and friends and was an avid car enthusiast.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his cherished son Devlin Sean Doyle of Jacksonville, Florida. He was the dear brother of John “Jay” Doyle of Winchester, Debra Bosworth and her husband George of Taunton and the late former Maine State Trooper Tammy Doyle. He was the adoring uncle of Jessica, Shannon, Patrick, Nicholas and Stephen Bosworth all of Taunton and is also survived by his grand nephew Zachary, his fiance’s daughter Lauren, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday October 19th at 9:30 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 18th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home
In lieu of flowers, Leo’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Devlin Sean Doyle Educational Fund, care of Mansfield Bank 80 North Main St. Mansfield, MA 02048.
