Obituary

Anne M. (Bowen) McGrail age 81 of Brockton died Saturday October 9, 2010 at the Golden Living Center Oak Hill in Middleboro. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward M. McGrail.
Anne was born and raised in Rockland a daughter of the late Michael and Ella (Heney) Bowen. A graduate of Rockland High School and a Boston business school she retired as an executive administrator for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind. She had received the Carbello Award, the highest award for a state employee.
Anne was fortunate to have enjoyed her two favorite hobbies, art history and travel, during her extensive worldwide travels. She especially enjoyed her trips to Ireland.
Anne is survived by her daughter Joellen Knight of Carver, two grandchildren Lee Anne Yurt and Milton Bayuk and a great grandson Sebastian Yurt. She was the sister of Florence Mahoney of Canaan, CT and the late Gertrude Smith, Esther Corbett and Katherine Douglas.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
