FALL RIVER… Georgette G. (Berube) Lopes, 72, of Fall River, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Francis and the late Maria (St. Pierre) Berube and had been a resident of the city for most of her life.
She was employed as a seamstress at various mills throughout the city until her retirement.
Mrs. Lopes enjoyed cooking and sewing.
Survivors include a daughter: Debra Hart of Fall River, 2 sons: Mark Lopes and Raymond Lopes, both of Fall River, 3 sisters: Doris Paul of Maine, Jeannette Fraizer of Tiverton, RI, and Yvette Sullivan of Fall River, 2 brothers: George Berube of Dartmouth, and Robert Berube of Connecticut, 3 grandchildren: Chad, Jamison and Brittany Hart, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Costa, the late Harvey Berube and the late Raymond Berube.
Memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River.
