Maurice Drexel Parchman, 81, Clarksville, died Sunday, October 10, 2010, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Bro. James Shephard and Rev. Terry Brown officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home and from 9 AM until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Drexel was born on May 11, 1929 in Stewart County to the late Arther Maurice Parchman and Bessie Abney Parchman. He was a Korean war veteran. He was a retired CEMC employee of 43 years. He was also a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; Mary Moore Parchman, two sons; Mark Parchman and Brent (Donna) Parchman both of Clarksville, one daughter; Gail Leo of Staunton, VA, one brother; Don (Norma) Parchman of Clarksville, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Larry Powers, Bryan Wallace, David Kent, Frank Leo, Michael Leo and Gavin Parchman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cecil Hoffman's Men Sunday School Class.
