Obituary

In Taunton, October 9, 2010 Robert F. Hogan, age 83 passed away in his home after a lengthy struggle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Brady) Hogan. Robert was born in Taunton to his late parents John & Florence (Hagar) Hogan. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. Robert was a retired City of Taunton Fireman and also worked for Biss Lumber Co. in Taunton. He was a member of the VFW Post #611, the Destroyer-Escort Sailors Association, International Association of Firefighters and of the John F. Parker Memorial Golf Course. He also enjoyed gardening and following the Patriots. Besides his wife Robert leaves his daughter Jeannine Ardita & her husband Paul of Taunton. His grandchildren; Erik Ardita & his wife Melanie of Taunton, Anthony Ardita of Taunton and Phillip Ardita & his wife Marcie of Taunton. His great grandchildren; Lexi, Alec, Lily and Mia Ardita of Taunton. His late siblings; Edna Tripp, Doris Nolette, Marguerite Adams, John Hogan and William Hogan. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton, Ma. 02780 on Weds. October 13th at 10 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tues. from 4-7 pm. Interment in the family lot in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton. Donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701
