Virginia (Pushee) Slack, 92, of 338 Thompson Rd., passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 in her home.
She leaves her husband of 66 years, Cornelius W. Slack, two sons, Peter T. Slack of Mechanicsburg,PA., and Jeremy S. Slack of Weymouth, two grandchildren,and one brother, George F. Pushee, Jr., of Templeton. She was predeceased by one sister, Ruth P. Hood.
Virginia was born in North Hampton a daughter of George F. and Julia (Ladoo) Pushee, Sr., and has lived in the Webster area over 40 years.
She was a secretary at the Mary E. Wells Junior High School in Southbridge and retired many years ago.
Virginia was a member of the First Congregational Church of Dudley and the Ladies Benevolent Society for 19 years. She also was a member of the Dudley Grange and the Black Tavern Society.
She was a former member of the United Church of Christ, Federated in Webster, for 18 years.
Virginia enjoyed hand crafts and knitting.
A Memorial Funeral Service for Virginia will be Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 10 AM in the Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St.,Webster.
There will be a calling hour from 9 to 10 AM prior to the service.
Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
