Inez Mangham Shaw, 96, of Tifton died Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Bradley Place. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty. Rev. Jim Duggan will officiate with burial to follow in the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Cemetery. Russell Shaw, Steve Shaw, Frank Willis, Sephus Willis, Mike Dodson and Steve Hobbs will serve as pallbearers. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Shaw was born on July 12, 1914 in Sycamore and was the daughter of R. R. Mangham and Cora Lee Demarcus Mangham, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband William “Ralph” Shaw, who died in December of 2006; one son, Bill Shaw; five brothers; and five sisters. She was a homemaker and one of the oldest living members of Ty Ty Baptist Church.
Mrs. Shaw is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert M. “Bob” and Tommie Shaw of Ty Ty; one daughter-in-law, Harriett Shaw of Tifton; one sister, Bernice Willis of Ty Ty; two grandsons and their wives, Steve and Cindy Shaw and Russell and Michelle Shaw; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Spencer, Nathan and Sophie Shaw.
