Bonnie Turner Barrett, 70, of Tifton died Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Barrett was born on January 9, 1940 in Tifton and was the daughter of James Early “Bud” Turner and Eliza Hallman “Teeter” Turner, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Clint Spradley and Darrick Barrett; and two sisters, Celeste Suggs and Jerry Noland. She was retired from Safety Rite Foods. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Barrett is survived by her husband, John Dwight Barrett of Tifton; her children and their spouses, Allen Spradley of Adel, Tonda and Kip Martin of Colbert, Debra and Kenny Jones of Ashville, North Carolina, Tahl and Sherry Barrett of Tifton, Wade and Pam Barrett of Tifton and Wyatt and Lisa Barrett of Norman Park; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jean and William Dotson of Tifton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Betty Turner of Oxford, Jim and Wanda Turner of Greenville, South Carolina and Clay and Missy Turner of Tifton; and one brother-in-law, Wayne Noland of Tifton.
