DOHERTY Joanne M. (Hickey) Age 81, a lifetime resident of Newton passed away peacefully after a long illness in the early morning hours of October 4, 2010. She leaves behind Edward H. Doherty of Chelsea and their children, Elizabeth A. Doherty of N. Brookfield, Kathleen M. Steenbruggen of N. Brookfield, Suzanne M. Doherty of Thornton, CO, Edward A. Doherty of Westwood and Kevin J. Doherty of Provincetown.
She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was a friend to many and was especially proud of her work at the Newton Senior Center. At. Joanne’s request there will not be a service to celebrate her life. She will be missed by many and not soon forgotten.
