Mertie L. (Bailey) Bowyer, 100 of Salem, NH died Sunday, October 3rd at
Hillsboro House in Hillsboro, NH.
Mrs. Bowyer was born in Haverhill, MA in 1910 and had lived in Salem over
65 years. She later lived in South Sutton with her daughter and husband.
She
graduated from Woodbury High School and attended Keene Normal School and
graduated from The McIntosh Business School in Massachusetts. Mrs Bowyer
was
a member of the Salem Chapter, # 57, Order of The Eastern Star.
Her family members include her daughter, Mrs Wesley (Sally) Bickford of
South Sutton, NH, son, John S. Bowyer, Jr of Aldie, Virginia, her
sister,
Georgia B. Harrison of Salem, NH, 7 grandchildren, 12 great
grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be on Frid October 8, 2010 at 10:00 am at The Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St.,
Salem, NH. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem. To send an
