OBITUARY
Leominster
Rita M. (Bourgeois) Ferrara Descoteaux, 91, died Monday October 4, at
Keystone Center in Leominster.
Rita was born in Leominster, April 14, 1919, the daughter of Alfred and
Emma (Richard) Bourgeois, and was a life long resident. She attended
local schools. She worked for many years in various plastic manufacturing
plants in the area. She loved sewing, cooking and was an avid bingo
player.
Rita was a member of St. Cecelia's Church and volunteered for many years
at St. Cecelia's bingo games. Most of all, Rita enjoyed quality time with her
family.
Rita leaves her daughter Joyce Smart, her brother Raymond Bourgeois of
Fort Myers, Fl. She also leaves her grandchildren Paul Smart of
Leominster, Gary Smart of Fitchburg and Donald Smart of Naples, Fl. Her
great grandaughter, Misty Ray Smart of Orange. Her first husband
Lawrence Ferrara died in 1946, her second husband died in 1986. She was
also predeceased by her brother Gerry Bourgeois and her sister Yvonne
Ouellette.
Calling hours for Rita will be held on Thursday October 7 from 5 to 7 P.M.
in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. Fitchburg. Burial will be private.
