Obituary

Richard E. LeBlanc, 57, of Carver, formerly of Avon, died, Friday October 1st, after a short struggle with cancer. He was the husband of Jill (Dexter) LeBlanc.

Son of the late William and Mary Ruth (Kelleher) Leblanc, he graduated from Avon High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA. He lived in Carver for the past 24 years.

He was employed at Raytheon for 28 years at the Quincy and Franklin locations, holding various Materials Management positions.

An avid traveler, reader, gardener and photographer, Richard most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at the family cottage in Plymouth.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Alan LeBlanc and his wife Anne and their daughter Alyn Anne of Somerset, his uncle Robert Kelleher and his wife Nancy of Virginia, special cousins Karen Tiernan of Centerville and her son Ryan Tiernan of California, Denise Andrews and her husband Anthony of Plymouth and Robert Walker of Salem; also many other nieces and cousins. He is also survived by his father and mother–in–law, Robert and Vera Dexter of Whitman, and his sister-in-law Sharon Murray and her husband Dennis of Whitman.


His services will be held on Friday October 8th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Interment will follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson, MA. His Visitation will be held on Thursday October 7th from 4:00-7:00PM. Donations may be made in his name to the Charity of One’s Choice.
