TEWKSBURY: John M. Pimentel, age 29, a lifelong Tewksbury resident, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at home.
Born in Lowell on March 9, 1981, he was the beloved son of Dennis K. Pimentel and Susan M. (McInerney) Pimentel.
John was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School.
Following graduation, he attended Middlesex Community College in Bedford.
John was employed as a plumber by Local # 12 for the past two years.
He enjoyed numerous activities especially rollerblading, and playing ice and street hockey with his friends. In addition, he was an avid fresh water fisherman and was a member of the South Fitchburg Hunting and Fishing Club of Townsend.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by two brothers, Dennis J. "DJ" Pimentel and David A. Pimentel both of Tewksbury; his maternal grandmother, Margaret "Mona" (Neal) McInerney of Billerica; his paternal grandparents, Manuel and Violet (Carter) Pimentel of Tewksbury; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
John was the maternal grandson of Walter McInerney, who passed away on June 23, 1999.
Calling hours Friday, Oct. 8, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Samaritans of Merrimack Valley, 430 North Canal Street, Lawrence, MA 01840.
