WESTON: Jane P. (Lennon) Cronin, 92, died on Sunday, October 3, 2010 following a brief illness. She was born in Waltham on May 27, 1918 the daughter of the late James W. Lennon and Frances (Carey) Lennon. Mrs. Cronin is survived by her devoted and loving daughter, Margaret E. Cronin of Weston. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Cronin, a retired police officer, who died on January of 2002. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Towler, Ruth Pedinelli, Elizabeth Mutch, Margaret Lahnstein and James V. Lennon. Mrs. Cronin spent her formative years in Lincoln and has been a resident of Weston for over 55 years. She was a graduate of Concord High School and was the first recipient of the DeCordova Medal for Excellence in grade school. She was a member for 75 years of the Lincoln Grange # 129. For 19 years, she was associated with Utica Mutual Insurance Co. and retired after 35 years as the Administrative Assistant at the Campion Center in Weston. Jane was a devoted wife and mother to her family. Visitations will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home of Wayland. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at 9:00 followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Julia’s Parish in Weston Center.
