Laconia-----Jeanne F. Caldwell, 86, of 73 Dudley Circle, died at the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Mrs. Caldwell was the widow of Arthur Caldwell who died in 1997.
Mrs. Caldwell was born August 27, 1924 in Stewartstown N.H., the daughter of Fred and Florence (Noyes) Parsons. She was raised in Colebrook and had lived in Laconia and Lebanon before moving back to Laconia in 1994.
Mrs. Caldwell had been employed in the medical field as a ward secretary for forty-two years, working at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Concord Hospital and Colebrook Hospital. After her retirement, she worked at O’Shea’s Department Store.
Survivors include a son, Peter Pinckney, and his wife, Donna, of Gilford; three daughters, Florinda “Rinnie” Jansen of Laconia, Rosalie Nelson and her husband, Rick, of White River Jct., Vermont and Florence “Flossie” Ford and her husband, Cecil, of Laconia; a stepson, Reginald Caldwell, and his wife, Sheryl, of Belmont; a stepdaughter, Bonita Read, and her husband, Donald, of Tilton; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Caldwell was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Pinckney, by a brother, Walter Parsons, and by a sister, Helena Kay Gray.
There will be no calling hours.
A private funeral service will be held.
Burial will be in the family lot in Village Cemetery, Colebrook.
