John Dahlfred, 66, of Londonderry, NH, died Friday, October 1, 2010 in the Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA. He was born in Haverhill, NH on September 15, 1944, a son of the late Vincent and Enid (Howard) Dahlfred, and had been a resident of Londonderry since 1983, formerly living in Connecticut. After graduating from Colby College in 1966, Mr. Dahlfred joined the US Army and served in Vietnam. He was a current member of the Londonderry Historical Society and the Londonderry Heritage Commission. He attended the Orchard Christian Fellowship Church. A self-employed antiques dealer, he enjoyed shopping for antiques, historical preservation and travel.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (DeLucia) Dahlfred of Londonderry; two sons, Karl Dahlfred and his wife Sun of Thailand, and James Dahlfred of Beverly, MA; two step daughters, Nicki-Ann Calisto and her husband Luigi of Nashua, NH, and Katherine Flaherty and her husband John of Bethel Park, PA; two grandchildren, Joshua and Caitlin; as well as six step grandchildren and several cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia Dahlfred in 2008.
Orchard Christian Fellowship will host a memorial service for John on Sunday, October 17th at 3pm at the United Methodist Church, 258 Mammoth Road in Londonderry. All are invited to attend.
