Mrs. Theresa N. (Charbonneau) Cunha, of Taunton, died Saturday, October 2 in Morton Hospital following a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John E. Cunha. She was born 83 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late William and Irene (Menard) Charbonneau. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Cunha had been employed at Classic Jewelry in Taunton for 10 years. She had previously been employed at the former Fernandes Supermarket in Raynham for 12 years. She had also been employed with T.J. Holmes Co. in Norton for 5 years. She enjoyed camping on Cape Cod, needlework and spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 son: Edward J. Cunha of Taunton; 1 daughter: Deborah Foster of Raynham; 1 brother: Robert Charbonneau of Taunton; 2 sisters: Jeannette Machnik and Pauline Fostin both of Taunton; 6 granddaughters and 2 grandsons, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cunha was also the sister of the late William J. Charbonneau of Taunton and Raymond Charbonneau of Falmouth.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street on Wednesday, October 6 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
