Obituary

Salem: Lorraine T. (Morneau) Levesque, age 81 of Salem, died peacefully at her home, Friday evening, October 1, 2010. She was the wife of the late Wilfred D. 'Red' Levesque.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Adelard and Florence I. (Breault) Morneau. Married to ‘Wil’ in 1950, Lorraine devoted her life to her husband and the raising of their 5 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved spending time with her siblings and with her husband’s family. Lorraine was a quiet, compassionate and family oriented woman.

She was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem.

She is survived by 2 sons, Richard P. and his wife Candace and David M. and his wife Gail, all of Peabody, 2 daughters, Claire A. Tobey and her husband Steven and Ann Marie Larocque all of Salem. She is also survived by a brother Robert Morneau, and 9 grandchildren, Richard P. Levesque, Jr., Amanda Crosby, Christine Levesque, Stacy Creamer, Patricia Rattey, Stephanie & Jessica Tobey, Amy & Katelyn Larocque, 10 great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Donald W. Levesque, a great-granddaughter, Haley Jean Duran, a brother, Ben Morneau and a sister Rita Silva.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 8 a.m. to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 9 a.m. Visiting hours: Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
