Brian Allen Cardeiro, age 36 of Wilmington, NC, entered into eternal rest on September 27, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was son of George and Barbara (Mello) Cardeiro. Brian’s passion was sports and he had pitched for BCL, CYO and Swansea Legion Baseball. He played point guard in basketball and also played soccer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a Bristol Aggie graduate.
Besides his parents of NC and his maternal grandmother Esther Mello of Swansea he is survived by 4 children, Brian, Cory, Nicholas and Karmyn. He also leaves behind his fiancée Amanda Phelps of NC and brothers George Cardeiro and his wife Shannon of NC and Daniel Lewis of Vero Beach, FL and 2 nieces: Diyani and Tiffany.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. with a funeral service in the Christ Church, 57 Main St., Swansea at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea. Calling hours Tuesday 5-9 P.M.
