Howard F. Miller age 79 of Wellesley, September 30, 2010. Beloved husband of Kathleen (McDonnell) Miller for 48 years. Devoted father of Karen Miller and her partner Dan Leary of New Ipswich, NH; Marie Reggio and husband Christopher of Millis and Christine Miller of Medfield. He also leaves behind three very special grandchildren; Jack, Matthew and Christine Reggio as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by four brothers; Donald of Niagara Falls, NY; Marvin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; James of Sanborn, NY and Gordon of Dallas, TX as well as many supportive and loving in-laws.
Howard was a Korean War Veteran having served with US Navy Fighter Squadron 73 stationed at Quonset Naval Air Station, Quonset Point, RI. During his enlistment he made two Mediterranean and two Caribbean cruises aboard Aircraft Carriers USS Tarawa and the USS Midway. Howard is an alumnus of Miami University, Oxford, OH where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and M.I.T. in Cambridge where he received his Masters of Science Degree at the Sloan School of Management. He was employed by M.I.T. upon graduation and remained at the Institute, retiring after 37 years of service. Howard will be greatly missed by all who knew him and were lucky enough to have been a part of his life.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Monday, Oct. 4, at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
