Mrs. Jeannette E. (Cote) Slavick, of Taunton, died Wednesday, September 29 in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Stephen W. Slavick. She was born 84 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Eva M. (Lehoullier) Cote. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 4 sons: Stephen Slavick and his wife, Patricia, of Guilderland, N.Y., Richard Slavick and his wife, Kathleen, of Taunton, William Slavick and his wife, Michelle, of Taunton, Peter Slavick and his wife, Tina, of Taunton; 1 daughter: Jo-Ann Murphy and her husband, Michael, of Taunton; 9 grandchildren: Stephen, Kristen, Kimberly, David, Michael, Mark and Haley Slavick, and Lauren and Daniel Murphy; 2 great grandchildren: Dylan and Madison Slavick, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Slavick was also the sister of the late Joseph “Ray” Cote, Roland Cote and Norman Cote, all of Taunton.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Saturday, October 2 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
