Donald F. Rosa, 81, of Mattapoisett died September 30, 2010 at Tobey Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the loving husband of Paula (Monia) Rosa, with whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Boston, the son of the late Manuel F. and Hazel (Dotten) Roza, he was raised in Dumont, NJ and lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to Mattapoisett in 2002.
Mr. Rosa was an electrical engineer with ITT, Lockheed and the Department of Defense for many years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Rosa was a longtime season ticket holder of the New York Giants.
He was a kind, loving, patient man and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Rosa and his wife Lauren of Palmdale, CA; a daughter, Linda Denise and her husband Patrick of Clifton, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Joseph Rosa, Daniel Rosa and Brandon Morrison.
He was the brother of the late Robert Rosa.
His private funeral service was held on Friday, October 1st in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett.
