Dave W. Lowery, 72, died Mon Sep 27 2010 at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria.
He was born July 11, 1938 in Peoria, IL to William Ora and Sarah Amelia (Smith) Lowery. He married Carol Ann Porter on Nov 24, 1989 in Peoria. She died Aug 10, 2006.
He is survived by 6 sons: Jeff (Martha), Scott (Connie), Steve (Lovey), Roger, Rodney (Jackie) and Jon; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; a sister Diana (Leo) Knott; a brother Larry; his mother-in law, Marjorie Porter and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dave worked at Pabst, UFS and was last employed by EPCHS.
Dave was a member of the B & B Square Dance Club. He also enjoyed fishing and watching the geese on his pond. He liked to bowl and participated in the Brothers Tournament for many years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no formal services. Please join Dave’s family for a Celebration of Life dinner Mon Oct 4th; from 5-7PM at Second Baptist Church 6417 Farmington Rd, Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Dave’s memory to the Diabetes Foundation of Central IL.
