Mary DiMambro, a life-long resident of Woburn passed away September 28th at the Wilmington Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Louis DiMambro and together they shared over 55 years of marriage. Born in Woburn she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Bastolla) Russo.
Mrs. DiMambro was a retired seamstress and worked for a number of years at the Princess Garment Co. of Boston. In more recent years she also worked as a cashier at the Kmart store in Woburn. Mrs. DiMambro was mostly a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always looked forward to entertaining them.
In addition to her late parents, Mrs. DiMambro is predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Leonti and Ann Johnson, Brothers Peter, John, Anthony, Benjamin and Samuel Russo. She is survived by her children, Marianne Kearney and her husband Tom of Berlin, MA, and Louis DiMambro Jr. of Woburn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Thomas, Taylor and Catherine Kearney. She is further survived by her sisters, Margaret DeLuca, Amelia "Mille" Archuleta and Josephine Russo all of Woburn.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, October 2nd, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be on Friday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
