Obituary

Mr. Raymond D. Beaulieu, of Taunton, died Tuesday, September 28 in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Rose “Edna” (Vincent) Beaulieu. He was born 89 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Wilfrid and Mathilda (Dube) Beaulieu. He was educated in Taunton and, prior to his retirement, had been employed as a systems supervisor for the former New England Telephone and Telegraph Company for 36 years. Mr. Beaulieu was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in Western Europe, and was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with 3 Oak Clusters. He was a Life Member of the David F. Adams Post # 611, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Air Force Historical Society and was a member of the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club, G.O.A.L., and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed target shooting, reading and fishing. He was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Taunton.
He leaves several nieces and nephews, and was the brother of the late Joseph Beaulieu of No. Attleboro, Antoinette Beaulieu and Adeline M. Wilber both of Taunton.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
