Ellena DelBonis, 59, of Mapleville Road died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at RI Hospital in Providence.
She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Robert R. and Louise J. (Curley) Dunne. She grew up in Cranston, graduated from Cranston East, followed by Bryant College. For the past 30 years she lived in Greenville.
Ellena devoted her life to her family and to helping others. She was active in numerous non-profit and charitable organizations which include, “A Wish Come True,” and AFS foreign exchange program.
She is survived by her children, James D. DelBonis of North Providence and Lindsay R. DelBonis of Smithfield, her siblings, Lois J. Harrington of Palatka, FL, Robert R. Dunne of Tarpon Springs, FL and James E. Dunne of Gloucester, MA. She is the sister of the late Joseph P. Dunne.
Funeral Saturday 8:30AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Friday 4-7PM.
