Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, September 28, 2010, Ione G. Shaw, 85, wife of the late Elmer Atwood Shaw, Jr.
Mrs. Shaw was a native of Isabella, GA and resided in Augusta for the past 51 years. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Shaw was a very active and lifelong member of Second Baptist Church of Augusta.
Family members include, daughter: Pam Meyer of Hephzibah, GA, sons: Mark D. Shaw (Dana) of Appling, GA, and Douglas F. Shaw (Paula) of Seneca, SC, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, sisters: Mabel Windom of Olney, MD, Margaret Gill of Albany, GA, Mary Ann Jarrett of Albany, GA and Anza Hayes of Isabella, GA.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. The family will visit with friends at the graveside, after the service.
