Mary (Moreira) Golden, age 89 of Fall River, passed away September 27, 2010. She was the widow of William H. Golden and the daughter of the late Manuel and Anna (Duarte) Moreira. Before retiring, Mary was a Machine Operator at Sagamore Mills, then a Custodian at Bay Village. She also worked at McGovern’s Family Restaurant for 16 years. She was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton, a member of the Tiverton Senior Citizens Club and a member of their knitting club. She also enjoyed crafts and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy McGovern & her husband Ken of Tiverton. 3 sisters: Genevieve Marcelino of Assonet, Margaret Goodall of Miami, FL, and Irene Thigphen of Georgia. 5 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren & many nieces and nephews. She was the great grandmother of the late Melinda Corey, & the sister of the late Louise LeHourex, Manuel Moreira Jr., Joseph Moreira & Eva Miranda
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. FRIDAY at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours THURSDAY 4-8 P.M.
