Mr. Roger Dell Dodson, age 61, of King, left this world to join his family on Monday, September 27, 2010.He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Vernie Beasley Dodson, his brother, Mitchell Dodson and his son, Roger Dale Dodson, Jr.Surviving are his loving wife, LouAnne Dodson; daughter, Lynn (Lee) Kiser and son, Brandon Dodson; he has one brother, Thurman (Sylvia) Dodson; and three sisters, Kathy (Mike) Wells, Rhonda Dodson and Debbie Smith; two granddaughters, who were the light of his life, Taylor Clifton and Victoria Kiser; several nieces and nephews. There have been many adopted sons in his life, Nathan, Randy, Luke, Noel and Mark.Roger served in the Army and did a tour of duty in Vietnam. In 2009, he was honored by the United Daughters of the Confederacy. He loved Nascar Sports and good music. My daddy put his family before anything else. He fought a long, hard battle and in the end he reached his peace he was seeking. Rest well our love, you will never be forgotten.A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Corner Stone Baptist Church at 7:00 P.M. with the Rev.
