Mrs. Nell Tanner Sears, age 83, Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Shady Acres Convalescent Home. Mrs. Sears was born in Douglas, GA to the late James and Alice Wall Tanner on January 10, 1927. She was a beautician and a member of Tanner Baptist Church. Mrs. Sears was preceded in death by: brothers: Harvey Tanner, Henry Tanner, Earl Tanner, Lynn Tanner, Glenn Tanner, Frank Tanner and Conway Tanner; sisters: Doris Bidwell, Rubye McCarty and Lucille Tanner. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Tanner Church Cemetery. Survivors include: son: Martin (Robby Gloria) Sears, Douglas, GA; daughters: Linda Outlaw and Alice Sears, Douglas, GA; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
