Mrs. Carol A. Sciucco, age 65, of Boston´s North End, passed away Tuesday in New Hampshire following a lengthy illness. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Nicolena (Vitale) and Vincenzo Venezia. Mrs. Sciucco was formerly employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where she worked in the tax refund department for close to ten years. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Carol´s memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. 31 Milk St., suite 920, Boston, MA 02109.
In addition to her late parents, Carol is preceded in death by her former husband, Anthony B. “Tony” Sciucco Jr., two brothers; Anthony and Arthur Venezia, and her sister, Anna Venezia-Tarantino. She is survived by her beloved daughter Annette Abbondanza and her husband Joseph of North Sutton, NH. She is the loving grandmother of Anthony J. Abbondanza and is also survived by her brothers Savino of Chelsea, Lorenzo of Medford and William Venezia of the North End.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, at 8:45 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston, at 9:45 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
