Leonor “Nora” (Mello) Souza, age 94 of Fall River passed away September 26, 2010. She was the widow of Pedro Souza and daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel Mello. Nora was a member of St. Michael Church. She had worked as a sewing machine operator before retiring from U.S. Record as a packer.
She was the loving mother of Charles Mello and his wife Alice of Dighton, Robert Mello and his wife Susan of Somerset, and daughter Eva Souza of Fall River. 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was sister of the late Charles and Everett Mello, Mary Roy, Olive Estrella, Adelaide Laureanno and Emma Cabral.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River THURSDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours: WEDNESDAY 4-8 P.M.
