TEWKSBURY - Angelina (Scola) Sutera, age 88, of Wilmington died late Monday night Dec. 1,suddenly and peacefully at Woodbriar nursing home in Wilmington. She was the wife of the lateCharles Sutera Sr. who died in 1989. She was born in Boston, MA, Dec. 19, 1914, the daughterof the late Andrew and Maria (Pizzamente) Scola.
She was raised in Boston, and studied in the Boston school system. She moved to Tewksbury with her husband in 1986. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted mother andgrandmother.
She was active in Tewksbury with the Golden Age Club and Senior Center. She also enjoyed playing bingo and traveling on cruises.
She is survived by five children; Leonard and his wife Josephine (Cantalupo) Sutera of Florida, Mrs. Beatrice Aragona of Somerville, Andrew Sutera of Westboro, Mrs. Charles (Marie) Ganno of Wilmington, Charles Jr. and his wife Fiorella (Petruzziello) Sutera of Methuen; one sister Adrien “Mini” Collarusso ; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren
She was also sister of the late Lawrence Scola and mother-in-law of the late Joseph Aragona.
At her request, funeral services were private.
