Mary T.A. "May" (Gallagher) Reardon, 85, of 314 Dudley-Southbridge Rd., passed away Friday, September 24, 2010 with her daughter and caregivers , Maureen P. Horan and her fiancee, David Ciesluk and grandsons, Noah Bragg and Daniel Horan at her side.
She also leaves behind a son, John L. Reardon and his wife Dorothy of Orlando, FLA.,another daughter, Ann M. wife of Nick Souris of Merrimack, N.H., two other grandchildren, Shawn and Timothy Reardon, and a great grand-daughter, Amanda Reardon,a sister, Frances A. Kuchinsky of North Grafton, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends, especially, Lucille Belanger and Mary Levitre.
Her husband, Lawrence M. Reardon died in 1989.
May was born in Boston a daughter of Thomas J. and Bridget A. (McDonough) Gallagher and lived in Webster for 60 years, prior to moving with her daughter, nearly 4 years ago.
She worked at the former Greeting Card Co.,Sandler-Ette Shoe Co.,and Cranston Print Works Co., before retiring from Park n' Shop, where she was affectionately known as the "Cookie Lady".
May was a communicant of St. Louis Church, a member of the St. Louis League of Catholic Women, and a member of the American Legion Post 184,Ladies Auxillary.
The family would like to thank caregiver, John Siekierski, all the staff at Summit Elder Day Care in Charlton, especially Ashleigh and Carol and Respite Care at Radius in Southbridge.
May's Funeral will be Tuesday, September 28, 2010 with a Mass at 10AM in St. Louis Church, 16 Lake St.,in Webster, Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Dudley.
Calling Hours will be Monday, September 27, 2010 from 5 to 8 PM at the Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St.,Webster.
