Obituary

WORCESTER-Manfred V. DeLibertis, Jr., 81, of Worcester, died Wednesday, September 22nd in Beaumont Nursing Home of Worcester. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Nancy (Swantee) DeLibertis; a son, Paul Michael DeLibertis and his partner, Valerie Gauceau of North Conway, NH; a daughter, Carol A. Kelly and her husband, Kevin of Worcester; two brothers, Ronald DeLibertis of Northborough and Ernie DeLibertis of Worcester; five grandchildren, Brian A. Lewis of West Boylston, Michael P. Kelly, Colleen N. Kelly both of Worcester, Mark DeLibertis of Florida, Lisa DeLibertis of Fitchburg; three great grandchildren, Caitlynn Kelly of Spencer, Isabella Auclair and Maddox Kelly of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert DeLibertis.
He was born in Fitchburg the son of Manfred and Rena (Marion) DeLibertis. Manfred received his master’s degree and attended both Worcester State College and Clark University. Mr. DeLibertis was the a school teacher and department head for 34 years at Grafton Street Jr. High School and retired from Harrington Way School. He was member of the Massachusetts Teachers Union. Manfred was an avid hunter, fisher and enjoyed boating. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during World War II and of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 29th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue from 6:00 until 7:00 PM with a service at 6:30 PM. Please omit flowers.
