Lorraine R. McCormack, beloved wife of the late Paul F. McCormack, died peacefully on September 23, 2010, following a period of failing health. A lifelong resident of Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Alwin C. & Margaret M. Rivard. She was a member of the Taunton High School class of 1942, and a graduate of Bryant College. She was employed by the Taunton Savings Bank, and retired after more than thirty years of dedicated service. She was a member of several local service oriented clubs and organizations including the Taunton Women’s Club, Altrusa Club, Taunton Junior Women’s Club, Morton Hospital Women’s Auxiliary and the Friends of the Taunton Public Library. She served on the board of the Taunton Housing Authority, and was a member in recent years of the Oakland Seniors and the Rocky Knoll Association. She volunteered for several years at Morton Hospital. She enjoyed golfing, and being among family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Carol Cunningham and her husband Dennis of Raynham, her son John McCormack and his wife Mary of Marietta, Georgia, and a sister Wilma Scully and her husband David of Florida. Lorraine also leaves eight cherished grandchildren; Conor, Ali, Lauren, Julianne, Zachary, Catherine, Brett and Brooke. She was also the mother of the late Robert F. McCormack. A funeral home service will be held on Monday, September 27th at 11 am. in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 4-7 pm. Interment will be in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
