METHUEN – Anita M. (O’Connell) Driscoll 91 died Wednesday September 22, 2010 at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, she was the daughter of John and Nellie (Fitzgerald) O’Connell and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. For many years she was employed with the City of Lawrence in the tax department. She enjoyed Salisbury and Seabrook beach, where she lived for more than 30 years.
The widow of Francis P. Driscoll she is survived by her three brothers William W. O’Connell of North Andover, Francis X. O’Connell and his wife Claire of Methuen and Vincent P. O’Connell and his wife Caryl also of Methuen.
Sister-in-law Louise O’Connell of Lawrence, MA.
Anita will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in her name to St. Monica’s St. Vincent de Paul Society 212 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
