Obituary

Nancy Gagnon, 76, of Manchester, NH, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010, in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester. She was born in Bristol, PA on March 31, 1934, daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Jenks) Dennis. Mrs. Gagnon was a resident of Derry, NH for 45 years, formerly living in Hingham, MA. She had worked for a bank in Boston, for Lovell's Flower Shop while living in Hingham and worked for many years as a florist at Barlow's Flower Shop in Derry. Mrs. Gagnon and her husband were active members of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Derry. She was involved in town politics and the League of Women Voters. Mrs. Gagnon was an extremely talented artist, specializing in watercolors and painting the many New England scenes that she loved, flowers, landscapes, birch trees and stone walls. Her art is sold worldwide and is still shown in many New England galleries. She worked out of her "Country Studio." Mrs. Gagnon was a longtime member of the Copley Society of Boston, a professional artist guild. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, collecting antiques, was an avid reader, was very creative and had a great sense of humor. She was always the "go-to" person in her family. She was a generous, supportive and caring woman who was always there for her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two daughters; Lynne Bouchard and her husband Thomas of Milford, NH and Beth Byra and her husband Philip of Methuen, MA, a son; David Gagnon and his wife Kimberly of Lisbon, NH, four grandchildren; Jessica Gagnon, David Gagnon, Jr., Shantelle Gagnon and Tatum Langelier; two brothers; Wayne Dennis and his wife Elaine of Hingham and Richard Dennis of Naples, FL, a sister in law; Claire Goodale of Westminster, MA, her best-friend; Jackie Dennis of St. Augustine, FL, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her furry grandchildren; Coco, Max, Kodi, Prin and Bella. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Henry P. Gagnon in 2007 and by her brother, Warren Dennis.
