James P. ”Jim” Holibaugh, 69, of Fitzgerald died Monday, September 20, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010, at 4 P.M. at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Ronald Cobb and Rev. Danny Gay officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Holibaugh was born February 10, 1941 in Hawthorne, Pennsylvania to Edwin Perry and Gertrude LaBord Holibaugh. A resident of Fitzgerald since 1968, he was retired from the roofing department of Elixer Industries and was a former employee of Republic Steel Company in Cleveland and Elyria, Ohio. Serving his Lord Jesus Christ, he was an active member of Old Prospect Church having served as a Sunday school teacher, choir director and training union leader. A veteran of the United States Army, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Josie Aycock Holibaugh of Fitzgerald; brother, Gary and Bernidette Holibaugh of Monongahela, PA; sisters: Evelyn McCall, Curllsville, PA, Patricia and Bob Aaron, Limestone, PA, Margaret Ann Holibaugh, Curllsville, PA and Susan Holibaugh, Shippenville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a brother.
