Katherine (Poulos) Pechonis, of Red Lion,PA, formerly of Stoughton,MA, passed away Friday November 28,2003, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore,Maryland, after a lengthy illness. She was 76 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel “Sam” Pechonis.
Born April 18,1927 in West Roxbury,MA., she was the daughter of the late Mr. Nicholas and Mrs. Bessie (Andreopoulos) Poulos.
She attended Stoughton Public Schools, and was a graduate of Stoughton High School.
She later attended The Rhode Island School of Design, graduated, and achieved her goal of becoming a Clothing Designer. She was employed by Northern Isles of Brockton, for her entire career.
She was a Communicant of the Annunciation of the Greek Orthodox Church, in Brockton,MA
She loved her family dearly.
Her interests included: Quilting, Painting, Reading and Cooking.
She is survived by her children: John S. Pechonis of North Attleboro,MA, Deborah A. Feroli of Red Lion,PA and William N. Pechonis of Ocoee,FLA. Also survived by a brother: George Nichols of California and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be at 9:30 A.M. Thursday December 4,2003, from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street (off Rt.. 138 at the First Federal Savings Bank), Stoughton, followed by a Funeral Service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak Street, Brockton,MA at 11 A.M.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery,Stoughton. Visiting Hours are on Wednesday December 3,2003 from 7-9 P.M.
